Prior to Uploading

• Gather ALL your files
• html files, graphics, CSS files, PDF files, etc.
• Remove all unneeded files from folder that wont
  be uploaded
• Review file structure for
• Appropriateness of name
• Appropriateness of file syntax
• Length of file name
• Presence of extension
• Check for file name changes

Uploading to Remote Site

• Use FTP or Dreamweaver software to upload
• Purchase a host provider
• Have logon credentials from host provider
• Open your connection
• FTP your site to host
• Check to see that your site is the Web (live, no
  longer local)

Testing Your Site LIVE

• Check every
• Page
• Link
• Graphic
• Email link
• CSS file
• Form
• Video/sound file

Revision Process

• Record your errors in each file as your review
• Quit your FTP Program
• Local your site locally
• Open files with errors or that need revisions
• Make your changes
• RE-SAVE each file where you made a change
• RE-UPLOAD all changed files
• RE-CHECK LIVE all changed pages
• Continue checking, fixing, re-uploading

Updating Process

• Once your Site is hosted and posted
• Add new content regularly
• Daily
• Weekly
• Whenever new information is available
• Whenever news worthy events happen
• Keep your update notices UP TO DATE
