SDCL 13-28-51
  • Enrollment of child on partial basis upon request
    of parent or guardian--Alternative instruction.
    The resident school district of a child excused
    from school attendance pursuant to  13- 27-2
    shall admit that child to a public school in the
    district upon request from the child's parent or
    legal guardian. A child enrolled in a school
    district pursuant to this section may be enrolled
    in a school of the school district on only a
    partial basis and shall continue to also receive
    alternative instruction pursuant to  13-27-3.

    past two years in parents of children with
    disabilities filing for State complaint
    investigations against school districts. This
    workshop will examine the issues and reasons why
    school districts are finding themselves being
    investigated by the State for a variety of
    noncompliance reasons. The training will provide
    guidance and strategies for school districts to
    avoid such situations and to improve services for
    students with disabilities.

  • Scoring the BDI2
  • All Battelle assessments need to be scored and
    entered using the online scoring website
    www.bdi2datamanager.com
  • If assessments are not scored online, a paper
    copy (Updated Battelle Reporting Form) must be
    submitted to SEP.
  • SEP can only enter raw score data. Standard
    deviation scores sent in, cannot be entered.
  • Students transitioning from Part C to Part B,
    must have scores entered into the online system
    as well as a paper copy sent to Part C Programs.

    who took the STEP-A in 2005-2006

    STEP-A can request pre-printed student ID labels

    last name and grade level)
