The Great Privilege

• Men still need to be won to Christ. Taking men
  alive for Christ is still the chief
  responsibility and privilege of Christians. For
  if men are not taken alive for Christ, they
  will be taken alive for Satan the Greek verb
  meaning to take alive occurs only twice in the
  New Testament, in one case meaning capturing men
  unto eternal life, in the other, Satans capture
  of men unto eternal death.

• John 14 21, 23-24
• Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is
  the one who loves me. He who loves me will be
  loved by my Father, and I too will love him and
  show myself to him." ...Jesus replied, "If anyone
  loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father
  will love him, and we will come to him and make
  our home with him. He who does not love me will
  not obey my teaching. These words you hear are
  not my own they belong to the Father who sent
  me.

• John 159-14
•  "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved
  you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my
  commands, you will remain in my love, just as I
  have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in
  his love. I have told you this so that my joy may
  be in you and that your joy may be complete. My
  command is this Love each other as I have loved
  you. Greater love has no one than this, that he
  lay down his life for his friends. You are my
  friends if you do what I command.

• Luke 923-26
• Then he said to them all "If anyone would come
  after me, he must deny himself and take up his
  cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to
  save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his
  life for me will save it. What good is it for a
  man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or
  forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me
  and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of
  him when he comes in his glory and in the glory
  of the Father and of the holy angels.

• We know that we have come to know him if we obey
  his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but
  does not do what he commands is a liar, and the
  truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his
  word, God's love is truly made complete in him.
  This is how we know we are in him Whoever claims
  to live in him must walk as Jesus did

  carrying your Bible around in public.

  indeed, I cannot.

  on the table after you go out to eat
• Evangelism isPhilemon 6 I pray that you may be
  active in sharing your faith, so that you will
  have a full understanding of every good thing we
  have in Christ.

  work to scroll scriptures so that those who pass
  by can be impacted.

  light shine before men, that they may see your
  good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

• Evangelism is not telling people that they are
  lost and going to hell if they dont come to
  Church.
• Evangelism isMatt 936-38 When he saw the
  crowds, he had compassion on them, because they
  were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a
  shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, The
  harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask
  the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out
  workers into his harvest field.

• Evangelism is notwalking through your
  neighborhood and having good thoughts about
  sharing your faith
• Evangelism isActs 542 Day after day, in the
  temple courts and from house to house, they never
  stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news
  that Jesus is the Christ.

• Mark 117-18
• "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make
  you fishers of men." At once they left their nets
  and followed him.
• Its not an Option, Its Obedience!

Fishers of Men

• To be a fisher of men we must have
• The right equipment a life impacted by Jesus, a
  personal testimony
• The right location
• a) Young Christian- where you fit in
• b) Mature Christian- wherever you are
• 3) The right bait attractive to them not you.
  The Bible? Yes/No

The Right Bait

• 2 Corinthians 44-6
• The god of this age has blinded the minds of
  unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of
  the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the
  image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but
  Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your
  servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let
  light shine out of darkness," made his light
  shine in our hearts to give us the light of the
  knowledge of the glory of God in the face of
  Christ.

Can You Hear The Whistle?

• Do we hear, the silent cries?
• Do we really see, the hidden need?
• Ask Jesus for Eyes that see and Ears that hear.
• Pray for opportunities to be a light

• Could a mariner sit idle if he heard the
  drowning cry?
• Could a doctor sit in comfort and just let his
  patients die?
• Could a fireman sit idle, let men burn and give
  no hand?
• Can you sit at ease in Zion with the world around
