What is A.P.I.D.?
  • The Advanced Placement International Diploma is a
separate diploma issued by A.P. College Board
that is internationally recognized. To receive
the A.P.I.D. a student must earn a grade of 3 or
above in five A.P. exams in specified areas (see

be sent to an International university.

Who is A.P.I.D. for?
  • A.P.I.D. is for any student who is zoned for
Bartram Trail High School who wants a rigorous
academic schedule that results in an
    internationally recognized diploma.

5
What if I am not zoned for Bartram Trail?
  • You cannot join A.P.I.D. if you are not zoned for
Bartram Trail. You cannot receive a waiver to
attend Bartram based on a desire to be in
A.P.I.D., it is a program, not an academy.

6
Curriculum Choices
  • Students will be grouped together for their
English, Science, Social Studies and Foreign
Language class where possible in the 9th and 10th
grade to allow for better preparation for the
    A.P. exams.
  • Students will continue their individual learning
path in math, based upon their credits at
entrance. It is expected that all ninth grade
students will be enrolled in Algebra 1 Honors or
    above.
  • Students are encouraged to start an elective area
of their choice such as music, art, or theatre
and remain in that area for four years so that
they may obtain honors credits in their elective
areas as a junior and / or senior.
  • Failure in academic classes may lead to probation
and removal from the A.P.I.D. program.

Course Progression
8
Can I drop a class?
  • NO. Required classes as outlined in the course
selections cannot be dropped or changed. You must
complete the year as a member of the A.P.I.D.
Program. You can only drop from the program at
the end of the year. The number of classes are
built based on student selections so there will
simply be nowhere else to place you!
