- To increase physical activity among children in
our area. - To increase awareness of a healthy lifestyle,
diet and exercise among
children and their families. - Work with local teachers and provide them the
support needed to implement Kids InMotion in
their classroom
3Target Markets
- Elementary school-aged children.
- Fort Benning Schools
- Harris County Schools
- Muscogee County Schools
- Private Schools
- After School Programs in Muscogee County
- Teachers at participating schools
4Program
- 9 weeks Sept. 4 - thru November 4th
- 24 hours or one full day of activity
- Students will track their hours of activity on a
chart provided to the classroom teacher
5Role of Teachers
- Register your students on Kids InMotion Website
- No real names please--For security purposes make
up a code for your students--ie First 3 letters
of their last name plus first 3 letters of first
name - Enter each students AgeEthnicity--Gender
- Integrate physical activities into curriculum
- Goal is to have all of your students complete 24
hours of physical activity at school within the 9
week period. (This is only 3 hours per week)

- Weekly enter on the Kids InMotion website your
classes total number of hours of physical
activity while at school - Send home a Waiver Form for participation in
Super Saturdays - If you have questions please contact your area
representative

- Visit the Kids InMotion website for sample lesson
plans and helpful websites and an Excel
spreadsheet ready for you to use to help track
your students progress - Utilize chart provided to allow students (and you

8Classroom Chart
- Place each students name at the bottom
- After completing an hour or more of physical
activity students can fill in their blocks - At Mid Point (12 hours) each student will receive
a band bracelet (found in your teacher tote bag) - At the end of each week add up the total number
of hours completed and place that number in one
of the boxes to the right of the bar graph - Transfer these hours to the Kids InMotion website
