Racism in Schools
  • African Americans where not treated the same due
    to there color.
  • Blacks were hated so much that they could not
even go to the same school as the white kids, and
    the.
  • The black people had to drink from separate water
fountains and could not even associate white kids
    under any circumstances.

4
World War II
  • In the late 1930s a man named Adolph Hitler,
wanted to make a super human races just to fit
the qualifications of blonde hair and blue eyes.
  • He put them in concentration camps through out
    Europe.
  • He punished them by gas chambers, hanging and
    starvation.
  • The sad thing is he did it for no particular
    reason.

5
Manzanar
  • On December 29, 1941 the U.S Government relocated
110,000 Japanese- Americans in fear that there
    were spies from Japan.
  • There was 9 relocation camps through out the west
    coast.
  • The Japanese-Americans were imprisoned until
    World War II ended.

6
Racism After American Wars
  • After every American war many Americans were
    racist against the enemy.
  • During World War II Americans were racist
    against Germans Japs, during Vietnam
Americans were racist against Asians and after
the Persian Gulf War against Arabs.

7
September 11th
  • After the terrorist attack on September 11th the
Idea of doing away with racism and not being
    prejudice changed very quickly.
  • Just because of the attack on the World trade
centers and the Pentagon all Muslims were then
judged by a stereotype that all Muslims are out
    to get America.
  • This is typical of the United States because any
time something bad happens all the rules just
disappear just because where are in a crisis
    situation.

8
Racism That Came from September 11th
  • After September 11th racism towards people of
    the Muslim descent grew.
  • Just cause of the fact that Afghanis where the
ones to bomb us, Americans had strong feelings
    of hate against them.
  • The Afghani citizens where not the ones that hurt
the U.S. but yet we are disturbed with them.
  • This happens every time something bad happens
against the U.S. we go against our beliefs and
    take kindly to no one.

9
Modern Day Racism
  • During peace time in the United States, the U.S
citizens are always talking about we need to
prevent racism and stop all the hate crimes
    against minority groups.
  • Most people in the United states claim that they
are not raciest but in actuality the are.
  • Racism is not just hate crimes and things of that
nature but it is also discrimination against
    males and females.
  • It also consist of when people make fun of
others, and also when others are stereotyping
    other people,
