can be done with or without a partner.

  • Reflection is done by the group with the leader
    facilitating the discussion.
  • Skills Development Worksheets
  • Basketball Skills Development Work Sheet
  • Students write down their daily accomplishments
and set goals for the next class.

9
Writing Sample Rubrics
  • Prompt questions should be stated in a way to
    illicit thoughtful relevant responses.
  • The same writing rubrics used for classroom
writing samples can be used to assess the written
prompts on the Physical Activity Logs.
  • From a Wellness perspective, it is more important
to allow for mistakes in writing and make the
correct conclusion or strategy to enable students
to begin to think at higher levels on Blooms
    Taxonomy.
  • In the classrooms that had the most success, the
classroom teacher was an integral part of the
process. They provided time for students to
rewrite, and edit their work, and used the Log
    prompt as their writing sample.

10
Math Integrating
  • There are many opportunities to add math
    integration using logs
  • Counting Steps helps with Place Value,
computation of large numbers, and using charts
    and graphs.
  • Using Heart Rate Monitors you can integrate Time,
    Average, Estimation, Prediction, Graphing,
    Percentages, Fractions and Decimals.
  • Working with grade level teams, teachers should
be able to provide with a timeline of what Math
topic they are working on and when for
    integration and timeliness.
