A Lifeguard will stay calm and exercise good
judgement in Emergencies!
He will always take equipment on a rescue attempt.

A Lifeguard is VIGILANT!
He will not look for glory in credit for rescue
made, and will protect all patrons from hazards.

A Lifeguard will Prevent Accidents!
He will protect individuals from their own
weaknesses and inability's.

A Lifeguard will Conduct himself so as to bring
credit to his organization!
He will never abuse any invested authority and
will reflect the dignity associated with saving
lives.

A Lifeguard will be a good Subordinate Employee!
He will work as a member of a team and welcome
supervision.

A Lifeguards appearance will be a credit to
himself and representatives of his organization!
He will keep his quarters, gear, and personal
skills in excellent condition.

A Lifeguard is Trustworthy!
He is prompt in reporting to his station he
maintains constant surveillance and he never
leaves his station until he is properly relieved.

A Lifeguard is always Ready!
A condition of readiness will be in evidence by
constant physical training, practice of skills,
and proper use of equipment.

A Lifeguard will feel the Responsibility of his
Mission!
He is fully aware of his responsibilities to
prevent accidents, safeguard the members, perform
rescues, and preserve human life.

He will constantly seek new and better ways to
improve his skills, equipment, and profession.
