  • The overall aim of Drugs Action is to reduce the
    harms associated with drug use to the individual,
    the family and the community. Interventions range
    from advice and information regarding 'safer'
    drug use through to intensive work with dependent
    drug users to support positive changes in their
    drug use and related areas. A range of services
    is also available to family members from
    information and advice through to intensive one
    to one counselling. In view of Drugs Action's
    strategic role in making contact with hard to
    reach groups, confidentiality is of central
    importance in all aspects of the agency's work.
