What are Presets?

• Polycom room systems allow the pan tilt zoom
  (ptz) camera to be pre-positioned
• pre-positioning enables camera views to be
  established in seconds without fine adjustment
• the setting up and activation of the positions is
  done with the remote control

Setting a preset

• 1. use the remote control to move the camera to
  the desired view
• 2. Press and hold the numeric button on the
  remote until Preset set is seen
• 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for a new position

Using presets

• During a conference, click on the number of the
  preset to move the camera to the desired location
• demonstrate 3 positions

Guidelines to setting up presets

• Make sure the viewing area is well lit
• Establish the presets before the conference
  starts
• Make preset 1 a wide angled view encompassing the
  whole view
• Make preset 2 a shoulders up shot of the main
  speaker
• Make preset 3 a shoulder shot of another speaker
• Make preset 4 a close-up shot of an object on the
  desk
• Consider making a preset template document and
  leaving it with the VC unit
