  • History / Social Science Two years, including
    one year of world history, cultures, and
    historical geography and one year of U.S. history
    or one-half year of U.S. history and one-half
    year of civics or American Government.
  • English Four years of college preparatory
    English that include frequent and regular
    writing, and reading of classic and modern
    literature.           
  • Mathematics Three years of college preparatory
    mathematics that include the topics covered in
    elementary and advanced algebra and two- and
    three-dimensional geometry.
  • Laboratory Science Two years of laboratory
    science providing fundamental knowledge in at
    least two of these three disciplines biology,
    chemistry, and physics.
  • Language Other Than English Two years of the
    same language other than English.
  • Visual Performing Arts One year, including
    dance, drama/theater, music, or visual art.
  • College Preparatory Elective One year (two
    semesters), chosen from additional "a-f" courses
    beyond those used to satisfy the requirements
    above, or courses that have been approved solely
    for use as G" electives.

2. Navigating My Course Requests
Browse the course catalog for a brief description
of each course. Search by course title or
subject requirement.
READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY

3. Selecting Courses
Under each course menu option use the drop down
menu to select the course.
  • Use your course offerings list and 4 x 4 plan
    as a guide to select classes
  • prior to using the course request window in
    Family Connection.
  • You will choose a total of 16 sections. There
    are 2 sections per course
  • and 8 courses available.
  • Each course has a Part 1 and Part 2. Make sure
    to choose both parts
  • of the course. Example Algebra 1 is Part 1
    and Algebra 2 is Part 2
  • Make sure to select all sections of Linked or
    Year-long courses.

4. Checking for Errors
When you have finished selecting your courses,
use the button SAVE AND VALIDATE REQUESTS.
Validation alerts/warnings/errors may appear and
will need to be corrected before continuing to
step 5.

5. Completing the Requests Submitting for
Approval
When you have cleared Validation alerts/errors
and you are ready for your Counselors review
select SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL.
