12Retired Employees Employment Pool (REEP)
- Connects retirees interested in working with
managers hiring for short term, non-union
assignments (work overload, vacation, project
assignments) - Retired at least 90 days before first assignment
- Compensation based on the pay established for the
work (i.e. position rating) - No obligation to accept assignment and no
obligation for managers to extend an offer of
assignment - Retiree can join at retirement or a later date
13How REEP Works
- Leverage our existing internal temporary
placement service - Hiring manager can select to search REEP for a
suitable candidate for non-union work prior to
formal posting - REEP Coordinator sends postings to REEP members
who apply simply by replying - REEP Coordinator sends applicants resumes to
hiring manager - Manager contacts suitable candidates for an
interview or immediately hire

15 Rehirement Contract

knowledge, role in a project or to facilitate
succession/knowledge transfer - Compensation reflective of individuals value not
to exceed total compensation before retirement - Formal employment contract developed.
