  Symbolic Memorial and the National Memorial
  Center. Non-Profit 501(c)3.
• MIPT is a living memorial to those who were
  killed, those who survived, and those changed
  forever.

A Provider Filling First Responder Needs

• MIPT feels a special obligation to aid first
  responders - police officers, firefighters,
  emergency medical technicians, and all of the
  others who are first on the scene in the
  aftermath of terrorist activity.
• MIPT sponsors research to discover equipment,
  training, and procedures that might assist them
  in preventing terrorism or mitigating its results.

• MIPT is funded by special Congressional
  appropriations.
• Currently, MIPT operates through a cooperative
  agreement with the National Institute of Justice,
  the research arm of the Department of Justice.
