Special Assignment Airlift Mission (DOW 3776)

• NASA Wallops C130 support of NAVAL SPECIAL
  WARFARE DEVELOPMENT GROUP as a customer involved
  in National Defense supports NASAs 2003
  Strategic Plan commitment to actively contribute
  to homeland security.

• Collaborating with other agency activity, DOW
  3776 will continue NASA-NAVY partnership in
  support of National Defense.
• The objective is to provide an airdrop platform
  to facilitate NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE DEVELOPMENT
  GROUP (NSWDG) air drop training. Training will
  be conducted with NSWDG personnel exiting NASA
  427 C130 aircraft at altitudes up to 24,999 feet
  using military parachute systems.

• Primary contracted support is from DynCorp, a
  CSC Company, Wallops aircraft support contract.
• The overall budget for the project is 200K
  provided by NSWDG .
