What is MPETA?

• The Manitoba Physical Education Teachers
  Association is affiliated with the Manitoba
  Teachers Society as a special area group.
• When a MTS member joins MPETA, MTS allocates
  funding to MPETA to support our organization.

• MPETA is an educational and professional
  organization, which is dedicated to serve
  physical education in Manitoba schools.
• MPETA exists to positively influence the
  lifestyles of Manitobas children and youth
  through the provision of quality leadership,
  advocacy, and resources in the area of physical
  education.

• To promote and advance the quality of physical
  education in Manitoba schools.
• To have a proactive approach to the promotion of

  quality daily physical education programs in

• Access to funding (up to 300 every two years)
  providing individuals have been a FULL member for
  the previous 2 consecutive years.
• Professional Development Opportunities
• Access to FREE Regional workshops,lower general
  workshop fees and theopportunity to attend SAG
  at a reduced rate for FULL and STUDENT members.
