Foreword

• The POVRay and 3D Studio Max parts of the course
  should hopefully have provided a taste of how
  some of the issues, discussed in class, are
  relevant in third-party Image Generation
  programs.
• From April onwards we will be focusing on the
  "processing" part of the problem and we will
  discuss how previous material, together with some
  basic programming knowledge can be used to more
  directly control the output of images and
  animations.
• Thus it would be a good time to review some of
  the recent concepts and see how the various
  issues string together in a graphics system.
