Overview

• For consideration in 3.0 the WSRP 2.0 features
  that were deferred because of lack of energy.

Invalidation Caching

• Synopsis This feature adds invalidation caching
  as an extended mechanism to our existing caching
  model.
• Status Use Cases described in a feature proposal
  but dropped because owner was unable to work on
  actively.

Consumer driven UI styles

• Synopsis This feature allows consumers to
  strongly influence a portlet's look and feel
  beyond simple styles.
• Status Use Cases described in a feature proposal
  but dropped because owner was unable to work on
  actively.

WS-Resource

• Synopsis This feature proposal seeks to recast
  WSRP using concepts/as a WS-Resource.
• Status Tabled for possible re-evaluation in 3.0

XForms

• Synopsis This feature proposal asks us to define
  standards/guidelines for using XForms in
  portlets
• Status Use Cases described in a feature proposal
  but dropped because owner was unable to work on
  actively.

Versioning

• Synopsis This feature proposes we add versioning
  meta data to enhance ability of consumer to
  detect producer versions
• Status Use Cases described in a feature
  proposal.  Owner has no intent and some doubt as
  to its value.

Portlet hierarchies

• Synopsis Ability for producer to manage
  hierarchical relationship between porlets
  guided by consumer semantics.
• Status Deferred for possible consideration in
  3.0.
