2005 A Hurricane Season never to forget!

• We will never forget Katrina and its devastating
  effects on New Orleans, Louisiana and
  Mississippi.
• Rita also made its impact on Texas, and western
  Louisiana.
• Hurricanes impacted South Florida, our friends in
  Mexico and in the Caribbean.
• Hurricane Dennis affected all our Methodist
  friends in Cuba!
• Hurricane Wilma affected Havana!

• The Cienfuegos area - south-central area of
  Cuba.
• The Cienfuegos Church lost half of its roof and
  many electrical appliances.
• Members homes were severely damaged many
  loosing roofs and ceilings.
• Churches and missions in the Cienfuegos District
  severely damaged.

The Methodist Church in Cuba has responded to the
damage of Hurricane Katrina in the United States!

• Bishop Pereiras message to our churches
• Speaking now of Hurricane Katrina . . . The
  Church in Cuba has been praying and on Sunday
  Sept. 4th an offering of Cuban pesos was
  collected in the entire island to send to our
  brothers and sisters.
• An offering of 15,000 pesos was sent converted
  to USD it adds up to 625. This offering is a
  symbolic message of love and represents 50 of
  one months salary of all Cuban pastors!
