  • Projects (at least the presentations) are
available on the course web site

6
A Few Points To Ponder
  • Cross-boundary environmental issues
  • Are common, and difficult to deal with
  • Can you identify some of them
  • Are you aware of some of the mechanisms which
have been crested to deal with them? Are those
    mechanisms effective?

7
A Few Points To Ponder, cont.
  • Are major changes (social, political, cultural,
individual) needed to deal effectively with
environmental problems? Or, would smaller, more
incremental changes be better? Why do you think
    so?

8
A Few Points To Ponder, cont.
  • We have discussed a number of interesting and
    important environmental policy topics (during
regular class discussion, in the videos, and in
team presentations). Can you provide an in-depth
    discussion (e.g. identifying the problem,
discussing specific policy responses to the
problem and the effectiveness of those responses)
    of one of them?

9
And Even More Points To Ponder
  • Each of the videos addressed some specific
    environmental problems. Can you
  • Identify two of the problems identified in one of
    the videos
  • Identify some existing and/or potential policy
    responses to those problems, and
  • Assess the (likely) effectiveness of those policy
    responses

10
Retrieving Graded Materials
  • I will place the graded final exams (and all
other graded materials) in the Political Science
Departments office (located in the corner of the
second floor hallway of St. Josephs Hall) when I
    have finished grading them
  • I will notify you by e-mail when your materials
    are ready
  • I will keep any materials which are not claimed
by the end of the first week of the next semester
in my office through the end of the next semester

11
A Word To The Wise
  • As a general rule, I do not bite
  • BUT
  • I have been known to make an exception for
persons who bug me for their grades!!!
