2- Position Log and Sig Events
- This is a generic position log that allows any
user to post a sig event within their own EOC or
recommend a 'National Sig Event' for controller
review in order for it to be visible to other
agencies managing the incident. - The position log captures
- Subject,
- Event Type (also used to define symbology within
Emergeo GIS if georefernced), - Priority,
- Accuracy,
- EOC Sig Event,
- Recommend Dual Commit to Auckland City Council
WebEOC - Recommend National Sig Event
- Date time (of Event)
- Description (including wysiwyg style editor from
the TSA log) - 6 Attachments
- Emergeo Plug in to allow either direct map look
up or georeferencing against a national address
database - The display views allow for

Event Type, Accuracy and Priority
- There are a number of different display views
with various functionality. These include - Position Log,
- EOC Log by Event Time, EOC Log by Entry Time,
- EOC Sig Events by Event Time, EOC Sig Events by
Entry Time, - National Sig Events by Event Time, National Sig
Events by Entry Time, - Scrolling EOC Sig Event (by Event Time need to
build the Entry time version), - Scrolling National Sig Event (by Event Time need
to build the Entry time version), - Ambulance EOC and Sig Event Displays
- and of course the controller review displays
5- Tasking
- Tasking can only be generated from a position log
entry. This is because we found previously stand
alone tasks were being created and no-one knew
why they were being done. A task can be generated
from any log entry for example another agencies
entry that has become a national sig event. - Tasks capture
- subject and description (automatically from the
position log entry) - request type (Request For Action or Request For
Information) - priority
- subject of Request
- details
- task Status
- task Closure details
- The task can then be assigned to any internal
users (by username) or any external agency. - When a task has been assigned to your agency from
another it can be assigned to individual users
within your own EOC. - The Task Status display provides a snapshot of
current and completed tasks whilst the detailed
views allow responses to be easily reviewed.
6Creating a New Task
The tasking process is linked to the position log
and allows any task to be tracked back the
originating event

Initiate a task this copies details of the log
entry into the task Create a Request For Action /

users and externally to other agencies
