Student Assignment

• Begin as soon as the bell rings.

• Present information, lead discussion and answer

Format

• Every presentation will be in the plus/minus or
  advantage/disadvantage format.
• Every issue has two sides otherwise, it isnt
  an issue!
• Use the graphic organizer format provided for you.

  of resolutions. Select a topic and follow the
  Arguments link.
• The newspaper is a good resource of topics.
• http//www.issuesprocon.org/index.html - the
  website of political pros and cons.

Effect is important

• Present a balanced view of the issue. Dont
  favor one side over the other in your
  presentation. Give both sides and equal number
  of facts or points.
• Be prepared to lead a short discussion if there
  are questions.

Class Participation

• Take notes on the presentation.
• Ask questions or join in the discussion.
• One question from each presentation will be on
  the weekly quiz.
• The presenter can tell the class the question.

Presenter Responsibilities

• Know the date of your presentation.
• If you are absent, you will go the next day you
  are in class.
• Prepare the overhead format for the discussion.
• Prepare the question for the quiz.
