Title: Job Sharing
1Job Sharing
- Why it works with Lisa Kropp and Lee Gluck
Grade 1 - Wolcott Elementary School
2Two heads are better than one!
- There is never a substitute teacher
- Lesson plans are discussed and improved on a
daily basis - Teachers speak on a daily basis to discuss
behavior problems or class management techniques - Teachers are fresh, even in the middle of the
week!
3- Common Questions about Job Sharing
- Will my child have the same discipline policy
with both teachers? - How will I know which teacher will be in the
class on any given day?
4Our Discipline Policy
We believe in positive reinforcement. We
love to catch the children being good. If there
is a behavior problem, we do not humiliate the
child by disciplining them in front of their
peers. We have a chat in the hallway. Contracts
between child, parent and teacher can also be
helpful.
5Who will the teacher be today?
At the beginning of each month, the teachers
will send home a calendar telling you which
teacher will be in the classroom each day.
Depending on the situation, there may be a change
due to sickness, etc. We ask you to be as
flexible as the children seem to be. Generally,
Mrs. Kropp works on Monday and Tuesday. Mrs.
Gluck works on Thursday and Friday. We alternate
on Wednesday. Occasionally, we will be teaching
together. Conferences are done together. We
divide the report cards and alternate them for
each term.
