BACKGROUND
IPC Mission To support and encourage
educational, cultural, research and scientific
activities that contribute to the development and
promotion of the Paralympic Movement. IPC
Strategic Plan To develop and realize a global
education initiative directed to build the
awareness and understanding of the Paralympic
values among youth and schoolchildren.

    attitude towards persons with a disability.

  • The IPC works closely with Paralympic Games
    Organizing Committees to assist them to create
    and deliver an education programme leading up to
    and during the Paralympic Games.

  • Aim
  • To create awareness and understanding in schools
    about persons with a disability.
  • Concept
  • The PSD is a set of activities that educate youth
    about Paralympic sport, individual differences
    and disability issues in a fun and playful
    environment. Traditionally, these activities are
    organized during a normal school day and target
    students between the ages of 6 to 15.

  • The kit is the direct result of a two-year pilot
    project in Europe. It consists of three main
