4 Unchangeable Design is a Mockery of Justice
Calvinism makes God unjust. It denies the
free-will of man. It blames man for what he
cannot help or change. There is no battle between
good and evil for the will. The game of life is
fully staged and every move is what God designed
to happen. This doctrine made many atheists. It
caused many to lose hope of being elected.

- What Do The Creeds of Men Say?
- We say, then, that Scripture clearly proves this
much, that God by his eternal and immutable
counsel determined once for all those whom it was
his pleasure one day to admit to salvation, and
those whom, on the other hand, it was his
pleasure to doom to destruction. We maintain
that this counsel, as regards the elect, is
founded on his free mercy, without any respect to
human worth, while those whom he dooms to
destruction are excluded from access to life by a
just and blameless, but at the same time
incomprehensible judgment. (John Calvin)

- What Do The Creeds of Men Say?
- By the decree of God, for the manifestation of
his glory, some men and angels are predestinated
unto everlasting life, and others foreordained to
everlasting death. These angels and men thus
predestinated and foreordained are particularly
and unchangeably designed and their number is so
certain and definite that it can not be either
increased or diminished. (Presbyterian
Confession of Faith, chap. 3, sec. 3,4,5)
7Calvinists Proof-texts
- Rom 919-21
- 19 You will say to me then, "Why does He still
find fault? For who has resisted His will?" 20
But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against
God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed
it, "Why have you made me like this?" 21 Does not
the potter have power over the clay, from the
same lump to make one vessel for honor and
another for dishonor? - NKJV
- Does This Passage Say God Has The Right to be
Arbitrary? - He CHOSE the CONDITIONS Of Salvation through
faith - He had the right to choose those conditions
- Just like He had a right to choose the YOUNGER
(Jacob) over the Older (Esau) -912 - Just like He had the right to choose Isaac for
the Messianic seed-line over Ishmael -97 - These things were not arbitrary, but had a
long-term objective for good - Choosing to bless only believing Jews was not
arbitrary
8Calvinists Proof-texts
- God Planned It For Justice Sake.
- The REASON the majority of Jews would not obtain
righteousness - They did not seek it by faith v.32
- They could have believed the warnings of
disownership -26 - They could have believed the warnings that only a
remnant would be saved 27,28 - They could have taken Isaiahs truth to heart
(v.33) - They were seeking to establish their own
righteousness -103 - They did not submit to the righteousness of God
- Rom 919-21
- 19 You will say to me then, "Why does He still
find fault? For who has resisted His will?" 20
But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against
God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed
it, "Why have you made me like this?" 21 Does not
the potter have power over the clay, from the
same lump to make one vessel for honor and
another for dishonor? - NKJV
9Calvinists Proof-texts
- Acts 1345-48
- 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they
were filled with envy and contradicting and
blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by
Paul. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and
said, "It was necessary that the word of God
should be spoken to you first but since you
reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of
everlasting life, behold, we turn to the
Gentiles. 47 For so the Lord has commanded us - 'I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
- That you should be for salvation to the ends of
the earth.'" - 48 Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were
glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as
many as had been appointed to eternal life
believed. - NKJV
- Notice the Order
- 1. They HEARD
- 2. They were GLAD
- 3. They GLORIFIED the word of the Lord
- 4. They were APPOINTED to eternal life
- 5. So, they BELIEVED
- They were appointed to eternal life in their
attitude toward the word - This does not say they were pre-appointed, then
heard, then were glad and glorified the word - They were determined to have eternal life so
they believed.

12Consequences of Unconditional Election and the
Calvinistic View of Predestination
Acts 1034,35 Then Peter opened his mouth and
said In truth I perceive that God shows no
partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him
and works righteousness is accepted by Him.
God is a respecter of persons
He chooses one sinner and condemns many others
arbitrarily and capriciously.
13Consequences of Unconditional Election and the
Calvinistic View of Predestination
James 113 Let no one say when he is tempted, I
am tempted by God for God cannot be tempted by
evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
Everything is unchangeably foreordained
EVEN EVERY SIN! The first cause of EVIL is God
Himself!
1 John 15 God is light and in Him is no
darkness at all.
14What Shall We Do?
- Calvinist answer There is nothing you can do.
The saved are unconditionally elected. - Peters Inspired Answer Repent, and be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of
