Phil 31-17

Phil 31-17
  • 1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To
write the same things to you, to me indeed is not
grievous, but for you it is safe.2 Beware of
dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the
    concision.

5
  • 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God
in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and
have no confidence in the flesh.4 Though I might
also have confidence in the flesh. If any other
man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust
    in the flesh, I more

6
  • 5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of
Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of
the Hebrews as touching the law, a
    Pharisee6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the
church touching the righteousness which is in
the law, blameless.7 But what things were gain
to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

7
  • 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss
for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ
Jesus my Lord for whom I have suffered the loss
of all things, and do count them but dung, that I
    may win Christ,

8
  • 9 And be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law, but that
which is through the faith of Christ, the
righteousness which is of God by faith

9
  • 10 That I may know him, and the power of his
resurrection, and the fellowship of his
sufferings, being made conformable unto his
death11 If by any means I might attain unto the
    resurrection of the dead.

10
  • 12 Not as though I had already attained, either
were already perfect but I follow after, if that
I may apprehend that for which also I am
    apprehended of Christ Jesus.

11
  • 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended but this one thing I do, forgetting
those things which are behind, and reaching forth
unto those things which are before,
  • 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

12
  • 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be
thus minded and if in any thing ye be otherwise
minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

13
  • 16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already
attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us
mind the same thing.17 Brethren, be followers
together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye
    have us for an ensample.(KJV)

A Revealing of His Proud Record (4)

flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath

16
2 Cor 125-10
  • Of such an one will I glory yet of myself I will
not glory, but in mine infirmities.6 For though
I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool
for I will say the truth but now I forbear, lest
any man should think of me above that which he
seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

17
  • And lest I should be exalted above measure
through the abundance of the revelations, there
was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the
messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be
exalted above measure.8 For this thing I
besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart
    from me.

18
  • And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for
thee for my strength is made perfect in
weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather
glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ
may rest upon me.10 Therefore I take pleasure in
infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in
persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake
for when I am weak, then am I strong.(KJV)

19
1 Cor 21-5
  • And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not
with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring
unto you the testimony of God.2 For I determined
not to know any thing among you, save Jesus
    Christ, and him crucified.

20
  • And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and
in much trembling.4 And my speech and my
preaching was not with enticing words of man's
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of
power5 That your faith should not stand in the
wisdom of men, but in the power of God.(KJV)

 Acts 917-18
  • 17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the
house and putting his hands on him said, Brother
Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto
thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me,
that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be
filled with the Holy Ghost.18 And immediately
there fell from his eyes as it had been scales
and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and
    was baptized.

The Plain Truth
  • 1.      Pride brings You the Glory now, but
    leaves you Spiritually bankrupt forever.2.
Trusting Christs Accomplishment (on the Cross)

Acts 91-9 The Road to Damascus.
30
Acts 91-9CHAPTER 9
31
  • 1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and
slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went
unto the high priest,2 And desired of him
letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he
found any of this way, whether they were men or
women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

32
  • 3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus and
suddenly there shined round about him a light
from heaven4 And he fell to the earth, and
heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why
    persecutest thou me?

33
  • 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord
said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest it is
hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

34
  • 6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord,
what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said
unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it
shall be told thee what thou must do.

35
  • 7 And the men which journeyed with him stood
speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no
man.8 And Saul arose from the earth and when
his eyes were opened, he saw no man but they led
him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

36
  • 9 And he was three days without sight, and
    neither did eat nor drink.

37
Dream Big Dreams
  • If one advances confidently in the direction of
his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which
he has imagined, he will meet with a success
    unexpected in common hours.

38
Dreams
  • Dreams are important, no question yet they must
be mixed with the patient discipline of staying
at the tough tasks, regardless. (no quick fixes)

39
  • A Dream is just imagine..A Vision is a
    dream with a direction
  • A Goal is a detailed dream with direction and a
deadlineWhen God wants to do an impossible
task, he takes an impossible man, and crushes
him. -Dr. Alan Redpath (moody church)

Rom 828-39
  • 28 And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose.29 For whom he
did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might
be the firstborn among many brethren.

63
  • 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he
also called and whom he called, them he also
justified and whom he justified, them he also
glorified.31 What shall we then say to these
things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

64
  • 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered
him up for us all, how shall he not with him also
freely give us all things?33 Who shall lay any
thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God
    that justifieth.

65
  • 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that
died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is
even at the right hand of God, who also maketh
    intercession for us.

66
  • 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution,
or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

67
  • 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed
all the day long we are accounted as sheep for
    the slaughter.

68
  • 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us.

69
  • 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
