in his ways.

18Scripture Reading 2 Thessalonians 25-17 (p.
1189)
192 Thessalonians 25-17
- 5 Don't you remember that when I was with you I
used to tell you these things? - 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so
that he may be revealed at the proper time. - 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already
at work but the one who now holds it back will
continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.
202 Thessalonians 25-17
- 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed,
whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the
breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor
of his coming. - 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in
accordance with the work of Satan displayed in
all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and
wonders,
212 Thessalonians 25-17
- 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those
who are perishing. They perish because they
refused to love the truth and so be saved. - 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful
delusion so that they will believe the lie 12
and so that all will be condemned who have not
believed the truth but have delighted in
wickedness.
222 Thessalonians 25-17
- 13 But we ought always to thank God for you,
brothers loved by the Lord, because from the
beginning God chose you to be saved through the
sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief
in the truth. - 14 He called you to this through our gospel,
that you might share in the glory of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
232 Thessalonians 25-17
- 15 So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the
teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of
mouth or by letter. - 16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our
Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us
eternal encouragement and good hope, - 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in
every good deed and word.
24Paraphrase 46Romans 319-22
Jesus how glorious is Thy grace! When in Thy Name
we trust, Our faith receives a righteousness That
makes the sinner just.
25Paraphrase 46 2/5Romans 319-22
Vain are the hopes the sons of men Upon their
works have built Their hearts by nature are
unclean, Their actions full of guilt.
26Paraphrase 46 3/5Romans 319-22
Silent let Jew and Gentile stand, Without one
vaunting word And, humbled low, confess their
guilt Before the righteous Lord.
27Paraphrase 46 4/5Romans 319-22
No hope can on the law be built Of justifying
grace The law that shows the sinner's
guilt Condemns him to his face.
28Paraphrase 46 5/5Romans 319-22

we trust, Our faith receives a righteousness That
makes the sinner just. Scottish Paraphrases

29SERMON Romans 830(p. 1135)
30Romans 828-30
- 28 And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him, who have been
called according to his purpose. - 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to
be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he
might be the firstborn among many brothers. - 30 And those he predestined, he also called
those he called, he also justified those he
justified, he also glorified.
311 WHAT IS GODS CALL?
- Its supernatural, more than your background, or
nature and creation calling to you. - Its not just external it gets to you on the
inside. You can never remain the same. - Its powerful and effective irresistible! 1
Corinthians 19 2 Thessalonians 214.
322 WHO HEARS GODS CALL?
- Why do only some people respond to the outward
CALL? - Is salvation dependent on my willingness to say
YES? - Am I really dead to God? In need of a new heart?
333 WHY VALUE GODS CALL?
- Its not just TALK. It is a call to a brand new
life a life with God for all eternity. - Is it not deeply, deeply moving that God has
spoken to you and has given you life! - Why is anyone a Christian? Only through the grace
and love of Jesus Christ.
34Psalm 1351-6 (p. 176)

35Psalm 1351-6 (2/4)

4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob to belong to him
