• Once there an ugly Popper named Pericium that
  lived in the fields of Athens.

• He lived in the fields because he was very poor.
  The Popper lived with his mean step father, Pete,
  and his stepsister, Theema, they never treated
  him equally.

• In the other part of town there was a rich girl
  named Ketheran. She lived with her rich family.
  They were very nice, so they could understand any
  ones problems.

• Ketheran was very beautiful, she had a very good
  heart, so she treated her slaves with great
  respect!

• Pericium was feeling bad because he was not
  allowed to go to Aphrodites Party.

• His stepsister was getting to spend the saving
  money on new clothes to wear to the party.

• The sad thing was he knew that Ketheran was
  going to be there.

• Just so you know Pericium had a crush on
  Ketheran stuck in the very back of his mind, but
  he knew that she would hate his ugly face!

• Every day Theema thought she was going to be a
  huge hit at the party. Theema despised Ketheran
  more, and more everyday!

• Then it was the day of the party, Pericium was
  very sad!

• But Pete came in and brought bad news, Just
  because you arent going to the Wonderful party
  doesnt meen that you dont have to do your work.
  Stop playing around!! clean the house! And so
  they were on their way.

• While they were gone, Pericium started his step
  dad's orders. When he was half-way finished, a
  beam of light shined through the clouds. He saw
  saw a cloud floating down with a wonderful figure
  in it. The cloud landed in front of the window.

• Then he saw it, it was the goddess Aphrodite, and
  she said why arent you going to my party.
• I have to do a ton of house work plus I am
  extremely ugly!!!!!! said Pericium.
• First, all the work is done I am goddess I
  could turn you into a frog or I could make you
  handsome

• Would you rather mope around and feel sorry for
  your self or would you like to come to my party
  and see Ketheran?

• Then, he said, Oh, yes, I Really like her. Wait,
  did I just say that?
• He decided that he wouldnt mope around.

• So Aphrodite said,We need to clean you up, In
  an instant he was sparkling clean.Then she said,
  We need to change those rags, before he knew
  it, he had

• nice new clothes (they were the latest fashions)
  He looked really nice. So they were ready to go.
  She took him to the party on a huge sunray.

• He was so nervous, thoughts kept rushing through
  his head like What if Pete and Theema see me,
  and What if nobody dances with me?

• When he got to the party everyone was waiting for
  their turn to dance with Ketheran or her brother.
  He was so nervous he didnt know what to do, so
  he just got in line to dance with Ketheran like
  all the other men.

• He saw Theema and she kept cutting in line while
  the other ladies werent looking so she could
  dance with Ketherans handsome brother all the
  time!

• Theema thought he liked her, but he really
  didnt.
• Finally, it was Periciums time to dance. His
  palms were so sweaty!(nasty!) Quickly he wiped of
  his hands. He started to dance with Ketheran and
  he noticed that he never stopped dancing with her.

• When it was time to go, she asked
• him to come back the next day and he
• promised he would. As he walked home, he saw
  Aphrodite and asked her what to do about his
  clothes because he didnt want to get In trouble,
  so she said, Just keep on walking home and when
  you get back, go in with a broom in your hands
  and you will be changed back to yourself.

• The next day Pete and Theema had left to go to
  her grandmothers house. So, he started to wash
  his face for Ketheran. Aphrodite appeared and
  said, Go as your handsome self and while you are
  with her I will change you into your new self.

• Pericium said, No way, she will hate my ugly
  face!
• Just trust me. So Pericium agreed to go as his
  handsome self to go see Ketheran.

• When he got to Ketherans house she was waiting
  for him, she said I am so excited to see you!
  Immediately he said I have something to tell you,
  privately. So Ketheran took him to another room
  where it was more quiet.

• He told her that he has a horrible life! Before
  he could say another word he turned to his real
  self.

• Ketheran said, I know that is still you, and
  even though you are not handsome I still love
  you! With that kind word he turned really
  handsome again.
• Pericium was so
• excited that he didnt want to go home again.

• There was only one way to arrange that. He asked
  her to marry him and she said, Of Course! Ive
  been waiting so long for you to ask me!
• So the next week they were wed!

• And they lived happily ever after
