Get to know you

• Fill up the index card and turn in at the end of
  the class
• Your name (and pronunciation)
• Major
• Oversea experience, if any, travel, significant
  reading, etc
• Your interest in specific countries, if any
• Your expectation of the class/section
• Your name plate from next week

Requirements for the Section

• Attendance 7 pts out of 10
• No more than two misses without notice
• Send me email by Thursday night (with a good
  reason) if you have to miss
• Sign on the attendance sheet at each section
• Come to the first two weeks sections to stay in
  the class
• Come to your assigned sections

• Why participate
• Its the point of the sections
• Boost your section pts to 9 or 10
• Practice your presentation skills on practical
  issues you might meet in a job interview
• There is no right or wrong answers, so just speak
  out
• How is it graded?
• Both quantity and quality count
• From the third week (Feb. 2)
