moral dilemmas.

Dilemmas for group discussion to provide
opportunities for children to consider a variety
of solutions for resolving situations in which
they might find themselves in their everyday
lives.
5You discover that your older brother is using
illegal drugs. He has sworn you to secrecy. He
says that he will run away from home if you tell
on him. What do you do?

6You have witnessed your best friend taking sweets
from your Aunts shop, and encouraging other
children to steal too. If you tell on him, you
are likely to be made an outcast by your
friendship group. Your Aunt is already in
financial difficulties. What do you do?

marks in her tests. Her teacher is very pleased
with her, particularly as she doesnt usually do
very well. Your friend is really happy because
the teacher has called her parents in to tell
them the good news. The trouble is, you know
that she is copying your work.

football game because the boys all say he is no
good. You think that playing football is the
best thing about school. The trouble is, your

your parents, who are likely to beat him. Toms
parents are stopping his pocket money by way of a

through the pockets of a childs jacket in the
cloakroom. Yesterday there was a serious fire in
the toilets. Your headteacher has asked everyone
to be vigilant, and to report anyone playing with
matches. What do you do?

can choose two friends to take with you on a
special trip to Alton Towers. There is no room
for any more people in the car. The trouble is
you have three best friends. What do you do?

which takes place on the school field every
lunchtime. The captain says that you cannot
join his team unless you pay him some

ornaments in your Nans house. You hid the pieces
and didnt tell her because you didnt think she
would notice. Now she suspects burglary, and has
reported the matter to the police. Apparently
the objects were very valuable. What do you
