Parking

  • We offer Payroll Deduction
  • You will receive a temporary parking permit that
    will be valid for 2 weeks from your hire date.
    If you do not have your permanent hangtag by that
    time, you will be subject to being issued a
    parking ticket. Please go to the following link

SINGLE SIGN ON (SSO)
  • Use to log into current internet applications.
  • https//sso.tamu.edu to log in. Quick access to
    HRConnect and LeaveTraq and other applications as
    they become available.
  • Sole point of entry you only have to remember
    ONE password.
  • You will need your unique UIN.
  • SSO will guide you through the logon process and
    answer any questions you might have.

HR CONNECT AND LEAVETRAQ
  • HRCONNECT online information database with
    personal, payroll, benefits, training and
    employment information. If you are on direct
    deposit, you get email notification that your
    payroll information is located in HRConnect.
    Lots of other information at your fingertips on a
    secure website that requires a password and pin.
    You will be trained when you have Leavetraq
    training.
  • LEAVETRAQ web based leave program. Your
    personal leave account that you access to request
    leave or just want to check your balances.
    Training will be done within the first few weeks
    of employment. This is also a secure website
    that requires a password and pin.

New Employee Benefit Enrollment
  • Benefit selections will be done online using SSO
    (Single Sign On)
  • You will have 60 days from your date of hire to
    make your selections
  • Your State Contribution effective date will be
    the first of the month following 90 days after
    your hire date
  • Example Hire Date 09-01 Selection Deadline
    10-31 Benefit Start Date 12-01

Sick Pool/FMLA
  • Both are for use if you experience a catastrophic
    illness/injury to yourself or an immediate family
    member
  • Both require qualification and dr. certification
  • Sick pool keeps you on the payroll after you have
    used all your own annual/sick/comp time
  • FMLA protects your job for up to 12 weeks

New Employees

  • As a new employee you may receive a progress
    review between your fifth and sixth month of
    employment.

Thereafter, you will be evaluated by your
Supervisor in May each year.

RETIREMENT
  • Every full time, benefits eligible employee must
    participate
  • TRS or ORP
  • Taken out of pay automatically

Other Benefits
  • Overtime hourly paid employees can earn time
    off for time worked over normal workweek. Must
    be pre-approved. Exempt (monthly) employees are
    exempt.
  • Workers Compensation AM pays for this
    insurance on all employees. Must report any on
    the job injury or illness.
  • Tax Deferred Annuity voluntary retirement
    program through payroll deductions.
  • Savings Bonds offered through payroll deduction.
