- Curriculum Integration The percentage of
districts receiving substantial EETT funds that
have effectively and fully integrated technology,
as identified by States. - Internet access in high poverty schools Internet
access in high-poverty school classrooms will be
comparable to that of other schools. - Professional Development In districts that
receive substantial funding from the State Grants
program, the percentage of teachers that meet
their state technology standards will increase.
4National Ed Technology Trends Study (NETTS)
Redesign
- PURPOSE -describe the implementation of the EETT
program, with emphasis on understanding how and
to what extent the EETT program helps further the
goals of NCLB - Collect data relevant to EETT program performance
- Conduct state-level case studies.
- Conduct sub grantee and school case studies
- Develop and administer national sub grantee
survey on uses of EETT funding

- Program must show that it is achieving its
purpose and managed efficiently and effectively. - Measures focus on outcomes.
- Requires high standard of evidence.

- FY 2003 Consolidated Performance Report
- The final IASA Consolidated Performance Report
(CPR) was available for States to use in
reporting data on programs that were implemented
under the Elementary and Secondary School Act
(IASA) during the 2001-2002 school year. The due
date for submission of the report was June 30,
2003. - States submitted Technology Literacy Challenge
Fund performance reports in December 2002.

7Statutory Requirements-SEAs
- SEAs must develop a process and accountability
measures to evaluate effectiveness of
integrating technology into curricula and
instruction. - These accountability measures should evaluate the
impact that Ed Tech activities have had on
student achievement. - The legislation expressly authorizes States to
use funds that are set aside for State-level
activities to develop performance measurement
systems to determine program effectiveness.
8Statutory Requirements - LEAs
- LEAs must also develop a process and
accountability measures that they will use to
evaluate the effectiveness of activities in - integrating technology into curricula and
instruction - increasing the ability of teachers to teach
- enabling students to meet challenging State
standards. - The SEA is responsible for ensuring that LEAs and
eligible local entities comply with Ed Tech
statutory requirements.
