TREO is a partnership of leading businesses,
government agencies, institutions of higher
education and economic development related
organizations. The purpose of TREO is to act as
an umbrella organization to coordinate all
economic development activities within the region.

Position TREO as a leading regional economic
development organization
  • Strategy Develop and execute a public relations
    strategy
  • Actions
  • Develop the key messages surrounding TREOs
    mission, programs and goals.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with current and
    future economic development stakeholders to
    promote TREO.
  • Pursue speaking engagements, panel-discussions
    and other public relations opportunities to raise
    the profile of TREO among the business community,
    industry associations, community groups and other
    stakeholders.
  • Develop an editorial calendar and meet with
    editorial boards to deliver the TREO message.
  • Host an Open House targeting economic
    stakeholders and community leadership to
    introduce TREO.

High Tech Advisory Committee
  • Purpose
  • The High Tech Advisory Committee is designed to
    bring together the regions technology companies,
    research institutions and technology resources to
    identify the obstacles, barriers and
    opportunities facing local technology companies.
  • The Committee will also develop regional
    strategies designed to position metro Tucson as a
    geographic and virtual high technology center.
    The Committee will analyze the following
  • Duplication of programs
  • Ways to leverage resources
  • A method to measure short and long-term impacts
    of efforts
