Transitioning to High School

• Academics
• 15-18 Cumulative courses passed, student will be
  promoted to 9th grade.
• 3 courses in Language Arts, Math, Science
  Social Sciences.
• career exploration and decision making course.
• 2.5 credits (courses) or three other courses.
• 14 or Fewer courses passed student will be
  retained in 8th grade.

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA
Any student with 4 or more excused or unexcused
absences.
Any student with a D or F in conduct on a report
card during the school year
Any student receiving an outdoor suspension
Any student receiving more than three (3) days of
indoor suspension (S.C.I.) will not be allowed
to participate
Any student having any financial obligations to
the school, such as an overdue library book,
lost textbook, etc
Any student without sufficient credit for
promotion to the ninth grade.
Any student who does not attend their assigned
tutoring sessions
