1
Welcome Yeungnam University Exchange Students!
2
Kings and City of London
  • Kings University College offers the best of
    both worlds
  • As an affiliate of The University of Western
Ontario (UWO), Kings students receive a UWO
degree, and have access to all UWO facilities and
    services.
  • As a small university college within the larger
UWO community, Kings students enjoy smaller
classes and more interaction with their
    professors
  • Kings has one of the best scholarship and
    bursary programs in Canada.
  • Kings is multicultural, and offers extensive
    support to international students.
  • International students at Kings are eligible to
have part-time jobs in the London community
  • International students who graduate from Kings
are eligible to seek full-time employment in
    Canada.
  • Welcome to the City of London. . .
  • London is located in the center of Southwestern
Ontario, two hours by car from Toronto (Canadas
largest city) and Detroit, Michigan (The United
States automotive capital). Niagara Falls and
Buffalo, New York are only 2.5 hours from London,
while Port Huron, Michigan can be reached in just
    one hour.
  • With a population near 350,000, the City of
London is large enough to offer excellent
    cultural, social, recreational and commercial
opportunities, while retaining high levels of
safety and environmental friendliness. London is
known as The Forest City, and offers parks,
trails, rivers, trees and a lake all publicly
    available.

  • Course Selection Guidelines
  • Registration Requirements
  • In addition to the ESL writing course,
University Writing for English as a Second
Language Students you may register in up to 4.0
full or equivalent courses. Course descriptions
are available in the Kings Academic Calendar
beginning on page 32 and can also be found on the
    web http//www.uwo.ca/kings/general_information/co
    urse_descriptions/index.html
  • Although you are able to choose up to 4.0 full
or equivalent courses, this is a full course-load
(including the required ESL Writing course) and
you may find the workload heavy. As you may wish
to participate in clubs, intramural athletics, or
other activities of student life, you may find it
helpful to select one or two less courses.
  • You may choose courses only from the list
approved by your home university. Course
substitutions cannot be made without the
permission of the Registrar, Marilyn Mason.
  • It is your responsibility to determine how these
courses will fulfill your degree requirements at
your home university. Your grades from courses
taken at Kings will be sent directly to your
    home university.

    before classes start.
  • If you choose to make course changes, please be
aware add/drop is a busy week and it may be
difficult to get into a particular course. Also,
