3Whats The Project About?
- The project works with young
- people/rangatahi to find out what
- they are connected to and how they
- are connected.
- We then explore how young
- peoples/rangatahi connections
- impact on their development, health
- and wellbeing.
- The information we gather is
- then shared with those who are
- interested (i.e. young people/
- rangatahi, schools/kura, parents,
- community groups, whanau
- groups, marae, government).

5History
- The survey weve developed has been two years in
the making. - It is the first of its kind in New
Zealand/Aotearoa. - It has been piloted twice with young people/
rangatahi. - We took advice from lots of people when planning
our project, including teachers, parents,
community groups and government departments, but
most importantly the biggest experts - young
people/rangatahi themselves! - Check out our youth advisory board

LAPTOPS - ONE PER PERSON
The survey takes an average time of 50 minutes to
complete. We will be there to help you
understand any questions you are unsure about.
In later years it can be filled out either on
laptop or on the internet.

12You answer almost all questions by ticking boxes
with your mouse.
We give each person their own password to
activate the survey. The same password is used
for all 3 years of the survey. No two people
will have the same password.
