- Established in 1946 under the guidance of the
Minnesota Hospital Association - Late 60s long-term care facilities joined HCAM

6HCAMs Primary Supporters
HCAM volunteers are ambassadors for Minnesota
hospitals. They are often the first face that a
visitor sees when coming to visit a loved one in
need of health care services. What a difference a
friendly HCAM volunteer smile makes! We need HCAM
volunteers not only in our hospitals, but helping
to advocate for hospitals with public policy
makers. Your message has a unique sincerity
because elected officials see your willingness to
give of your own time and talents. We at MHA are
committed to build upon our advocacy partnership
with HCAM.

HCAM leaders are a deeply valued presence, both
at the Capitol and in communities across the

a public priority and to revolutionize the aging

facilities in Minnesota totaling almost 20,000
persons, including junior volunteers, providing
volunteer services in health care

serve its membership

1.1 million hours of services at a total
estimated value of 23.6 MILLION to their
facilities
