Using OVO Shuffle Prototype
  • Shuffle is based on an index card and bulletin
    board metaphor
  • Any user can enter a card which contains one
    piece of data, one trend, one conversation which
    is tagged and filed with key words
  • An analyst can create a bulletin board or topic
    board to gather and analyze all information about
    the topic or issue

Entering a new Card

Click New Cardto enter a newdata point or
trend

Enter title anddescription. Identifysource of
informationand add keywords.
Define the type ofinformation trend,data,
tip, estimate,conversation, etc

Tag the card withcompany providedkey words and
tags
Enter a new card which contains one piece of
data, one trend or one conversation.This
information is tagged and has keywords
associated with it. The user canidentify the
source of the information and attach a file or
document to the card.This card is then filed in
the database.

Entering a new card
  • Complete the data on the card
  • Press Save Details
  • The card is saved to the database and can be
    found in the tree on the left under Unassigned
    in the tree since it has not been assigned to any
    topic board yet
  • The Tags and Keywords drop lists allow you to add
    a new Tag or Keyword or use one from an existing
    list.

The bulletin board or topic board allows an
analyst or product manager tocreate a space to
research a particular topic and assemble all the
cards or dataabout the topic from the database
in one location.

Adding a card to a board
Find a card youdlike to add in thetree view
Click on the cardand drag it inthe board
youwant to add it to
To add a card to a board, you can select the card
from the tree and drag thecard to the
appropriate board, either within the tree or to
the open board.You can also add the card to
the board directly when you create the card
usinga droplist selection.

Viewing a Topic Board

Click on Conceptsfor a new cell phonein the
tree at theleft

See the Cards thatare already attachedto this
topic board
View an existing topic board. In this case,
well look at a topic board aboutnew cell phone
design. See that there are already cards
associated withthis topic board that define
issues or items about the topic.

Viewing a specific card on a topic board
Click on the signon any card on atopic
board
View the details ofthe card
On any topic board you can view a specific card
in more detail by clicking on the symbol at
the top right of the card.

Defining the relevance of information on a topic
Click on the topictab on the card on a topic
board
View and updateinformation aboutthe relevance
andimportance of theinformation on thecard on
this topic board
On any topic board you can view a the rationale
for attaching a card to a boardand how relevant
and important the information is to the topic
board. This information is specific to the card
on a particular board.

Managing cards on a topic board
Click on a cardand drag the card
On any topic board you can re-arrange the card
order. Click on the card youdlike to move and
drag it to its new location.

Viewing a topic board as a list
Click on thelist view onthe topic board
You can change the view of a topic board by
clicking on the List/Small Cards/Large Cards
links at the bottom of the topic board.

Using the tree view on the left hand margin
See the treeview on the leftmargin
In the tree view, you can expand or collapse the
views and see the cards,topic boards and filters
available. Filters are presented with icons
whichappear as filters. Topic boards are
represented by small white squares with colored
squares internal to the white square. Cards are
represented by coloredrectangles. Different
types of cards have different colors. Any icon
with a star indicates the item was added
recently.

Using the Tree View
  • You can drag a card from the tree view to a topic
    board or vice versa
  • You can copy a card from one topic board to
    another topic board
  • Filters help the user identify appropriatecards
    to add to a topic board. Filters canbe defined
    and saved for reuse.
  • Filters are not active in this version.
