  • 107 km2 of BAP habitats conserved or restored and
    14 km2 created
  • 976 local traditions or cultural activities
    supported (festivals, re-enactments, story
    telling, talks, exhibitions etc)
  • 198 historic or archaeological sites repaired,
    restored or conserved 414 sites recorded or
    surveyed

2006 Landscape Partnerships Evaluation
  • 651 kms of new or improved footpaths
  • 123 new heritage, nature or walking trails
  • 15,500 volunteer days
  • 21,000 training days and 90 apprenticeships
    provided
  • 192 direct jobs and 185 indirect jobs created

  • LPS initiative important and timely
  • Contributes to objectives of many partner
    organisations
  • Approach not necessarily straightforward but
    innovative and may be regarded at the cutting
    edge of theory and practice

  • Encourage applications from under-represented
    areas
