Genesis 121-3 The Lord had said to Abram, Leave
your country, your people and your fathers
household and go to the land I will show you. I
will make you into a great nation and I will
bless you I will make your name great, and you
will be a blessing. I will bless those who
bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse
and all peoples on earth will be blessed
through you.
Genesis 1818-19 Abraham will surely become a
great and powerful nation, and all nations on
earth will be blessed through him. For I have
chosen him, so that he will direct his children
and his household after him to keep the way of
the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that
the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has
promised him.

Deuteronomy 3011-16 Now what I am commanding you
today is not too difficult for you or beyond your
reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have
to ask, Who will ascend into heaven to get it
and proclaim it to us so we may obey it? Nor
is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask,
Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it
to us so we may obey it? No, the word is very
near you it is in your mouth and in your heart
so you may obey it.

Deuteronomy 3011-16 See, I set before you today
life and prosperity, death and destruction. For
I command you today to love the Lord your God, to
walk in his ways, and to keep his commands,
decrees and laws then you will live and
increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in
the land you are entering to possess.

Deuteronomy 3019-20 This day I call heaven and
earth as witnesses against you that I have set
before you life and death, blessings and curses.
Now choose life, so that you and your children

listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For
the Lord is your life, and he will give you many
years in the land he swore to give to your
fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Esther 924-25 For Haman son of Hammedatha, the
Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted
against the Jews to destroy them and had cast the
pur (that is, the lot) for their ruin and
destruction. But when the plot came to the
kings attention, he issued written orders that
the evil scheme Haman had devised against the
Jews should come back onto his own head, and that
he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

Esther 926-28 (Therefore these days were called
Purim, from the word pur. (Lots used to choose
day and time for destruction of the Jews.)
Because of everything written in this letter and
because of what they had seen and what had
happened to them, the Jews took it upon
themselves to establish the custom that they and
their descendants and all who join them should
without fail observe these two days every year,
in the way prescribed and at the time appointed.
And these days of Purim should never cease to
be celebrated by the Jews, nor should the memory
of them die out among their descendants.

Esther 815-17 Mordecai left the kings presence
wearing royal garments of blue and white, a large
crown of gold and a purple robe of fine linen.
And the city of Susa held a joyous celebration.
For the Jews it was a time of happiness and joy,
gladness and honor. In every province and in
every city, wherever the edict of the king went,
there was joy and gladness among the Jews, with
feasting and celebrating. And many people of
other nationalities became Jews because fear of
the Jews had seized them.

Esther 101-3 The Greatness of Mordecai King
Xerxes imposed tribute throughout the empire, to
its distant shores. And all his acts of power and
might, together with a full account of the
greatness of Mordecai to which the king had
raised him, are they not written in the book of
the annals of the kings of Media and Persia?
Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King
Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews, and held in
high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he
worked for the good of his people and spoke up
for the welfare of all the Jews.

Celebrate the Feast of Weeks with the
firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast
of Ingathering at the turn of the year. 23
Three times a year all your men are to appear
before the Sovereign Lord, the God of Israel.

Leviticus 2333-38 The Lord said to Moses, Say
to the Israelites On the fifteenth day of the
seventh month the Lords Feast of Tabernacles
begins, and it lasts for seven days. 37 (These
are the Lords appointed feasts, which you are to
proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing
offerings made to the Lord by firethe burnt
offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and
drink offerings required for each day. These
offerings are in addition to those for the Lords
Sabbaths and in addition to your gifts and
whatever you have vowed and all the freewill
offerings you give to the Lord.)
