• Electricity
• Mount Allison currently uses 11,211,000 KWH or
  11,211MWH of electricity annually and purchases
  this amount exclusively though NB Power.
• NB Power produces 50 renewable energy 50 fossil
  fuel based
• Mount Allison is indirectly responsible for
  approximately 5000 tonnes of CO2 annually from
  our electricity use
• Heat
• To heat the university buildings Mount Allison
  University burns 2,198,000 litres of bunker A
  oil, and 72,000 litres of number 2 light fuel oil
  annually
• What this means is a CO2 output of roughly 4500
  tonnes each year, for heating purposes alone
• ELECTRICITY HEAT 9500 TONNES OF CO2/YEAR
