General Information
  • Software Excel 2000
  • Manual You can access all the lab instructions
    at www.stat.ualberta.ca/statslabs/index.htm
  • Assignment Totally there will 5 lab assignments.
    For each assignment you will have two weeks to
    work on it.
  • Format Must come with a cover sheet including
    name and lab section ID is not allowed to appear
    on the cover sheet (FOIPP act).

  • Where The wooden box outside CAB 373/377. Please
    make sure the lab section and instructor name.
    Late or misplaced assignment will not be graded
    and end up with zero.
  • Exam April 2 --- April 5, 2007. Its a one
    hour multiple choice exam in the regular lab
    section.
  • Excuse There are no labs between February 19 and
    February 23 (reading week), on April 6 (Good
    Friday), or on April 9 (Easter Day).

  • Acrobat Reader To download or print the lab
    instructions, you need Acrobat Reader which is
    freely-downloaded software.
  • AFS To back up your works in your home directory
    on AICTs campus file system (called AFS), you
    need Campus Computing ID(CCID) and your password.
  • Back Up U of A Communications ?
    Authentication?WinSCP3 (freely-downloaded).

Expectations
  • Class attendance is not mandatory but its highly
    recommended.
  • You are required to finish your assignments by
    yourself. The lab instructor is supposed to be
    here to help you but not to give you the answers
    or go through your assignments.
  • Discussion is encouraged but simply copying is
    forbidden (Code of Student Behavior).
