2Why AID?
What is the nature of India's problems and what
can Indians in the US do to solve them?
13 years ago, Ravi Kuchimanchi and a few other
graduate students at the University of Maryland
asked themselves this "simple" question. Their
answer was the Association for India's
Development (AID)........
This burning desire to make a difference, however
small it may be, is what characterizes every AID
volunteer.
3What is AID?
- Compassion wherever there is suffering,
Conviction that the compassion is strong enough
to eliminate suffering, Courage to make this
conviction a reality....This is AID!! - (AID) is a voluntary non-profit organization that
is committed to supporting a wide variety of
social development projects, towards an improved
life for the poor and underprivileged, in India
4Beliefs and Goals
- Interrelated Problems demand interrelated
solutions - Participation of the beneficiaries is essential
