  • Inherent risk taking behavior of the College
    Crowd.
  • Supervision, often by their own peer group.
  • Hiring the Bouncer what the job means to some.
  • Lack of understanding of the role bar security
    plays in the community.
  • Trust between the industry and local officials.

Industry Relations How did we get here?
  • A troubled relationship
  • Historically there has been a lack of trust
    between law enforcement and the industryan out
    to get you attitude by one and a you created
    the problem, you fix it!!! by another.
  • Businesses need to know that you want them to be
    successful.
  • What are your measures of success?
  • Are your measures the same as the other
    stakeholders?
  • If they call the police, will the problem be used
    against them?

  • Violent crime reports decreased by 70 during
    research period and area as compared to 25 in
    rest of community.

  • Stillwater, OK Calls for service declined by
    over 60 when attention was given to the bars.
