• We have to remember some things
• and Forget some things.

The People of Israel Forgot Some
Things

• Deuteronomy 3218--...you forgot the God who
  gave you birth.
• Judges 37--The Israelites did evil in the eyes
  of the LORD they forgot the LORD their God
• Psalm 7811--They forgot what he had done, the
  wonders he had shown them.
• Psalm 10621--They forgot the God who saved
  them, who had done great things in Egypt.

Believers In Jesus Need to Remember Some Things

• First, He took the bread and
  put incredible meaning into it.
• And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it,
  and gave it to them, saying,
• This is my body given for you do this in
  remembrance of me.--Luke 2219
• Remember the bread is a picture of Jesus body.
• I am God in the flesh.
• I didnt send an angel or an ambassador.
• I wanted to be with you, you are important to
  Me.

Believers In Jesus Need to Remember Some Things

• Second, He takes the cup
  In the same way, after supper
  he took the cup, saying, This
  cup is the new covenant in my
  blood do this, whenever you drink it,
  in remembrance of me.
• Remember this cup is the picture of my blood.
• Im going to die in your place for your sins,
  failures, brokenness and imperfections so you can
  be forgiven and have an eternal relationship with
  Me.

God is the Great Forgetter God knows what to
remember and what to forget!

• Psalm 10312 ...as far as the east is from the
  west, so far has he removed our transgressions
  from us.
• Isaiah 118 Come now, let us reason together,
  says the LORD. Though your sins arelike scarlet,
  they shall be as white as snow though they are
  red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
• Isaiah 3817 Surely it was for my benefit that
  I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me
  from the pit of destruction you have put all my
  sins behind your back.
• Isaiah 4325 I, even I, am he who blots out
  your transgressions, for my own sake, and
  remembers your sins no more.

God is the Great Rememberer God remembers and
chooses not to forget

• Genesis 915 I will remember my covenant
  between me and you and all living creatures of
  every kind. Never again will the waters become a
  flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the
  rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and
  remember the everlasting covenant between God and
  all living creatures of every kind on the earth.
• Isaiah 4421 Remember these things, O Jacob,
  for you are my servant, O Israel. I have made
  you, you are my servant O Israel, I will not
  forget you.
• Ezekiel 1660 Yet I will remember the covenant
  I made with you in the days of youre my youth,
  and I will establish an everlasting covenant with
  you.
• Isaiah 4915 Can a mother forget the baby at
  her breast and have no compassion on the child
  she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not
  forget you!
