General John B. Gordon

• He was a Confederate general and a governor of
  Georgia.
• General Gordon led the Battle of Bloody Lane.
• It took five musket balls to bring him down. He
  went back home to the aid of his wife.
• He said to General Lee, This is no place for
  you. These men behind you are Georgians and
  Virginians. They have never failed and will not
  fail you here. Will you boys?

Battle of Chickamauga

• The Confederates(the south) was victorious.
• This was the bloodiest two- day battle of the
  Civil War.
• Out of 120,000 men, 35,000 were killed, wounded,
  or missing.
• This battle happened in Walker and Catoosa County.

Braxton Bragg

• Confederate general
• He was at the Battle of Murfreesboro on Dec. 31,
  1862 and on Jan. 2, 1863.
• After that, he started having very serious health
  problems.
• Bragg won the greatest Confederate victory of the
  war.
