Glossary of Terms

• Courier Code - Permits safe to be opened without
  a time delay. Also opens alone when in dual code
  mode. E.g. Cash in transit driver
• Delayed Opening A programmed delay before the
  lock will open, after input of a correct
  code.
• Wrong Try Penalty The number of incorrect code
  entries required to start a pre-set time delay /
  time out.
• Duress Code / Silent Alarm By entering the
  code incorrectly (Usually or 1 on the last
  digit) the lock can send a signal indicating that
  a hold up is in progress, without alerting the
  thief.
• Duress Time Delay A duress code can also be used
  to activate a longer delayed opening.
• Dual Code Operation Two codes are required in
  order to open the lock
• Date / Time The lock incorporates a real time
  clock. This allows access at specific days and
  times. These locks also correct for Summer /
  Winter daylight saving
• Audit Trail Event Memory The lock stores
  information when it was used and by which
  operator.
