Middleton Boatworks, Inc.
  • Specializing in wooden boat construction,
    restoration and repair
  • Since 2002

2
History
  • Opened doors of 800 sq. ft. shop on Wadmalaw
    Island in 2002
  • Began with construction of small skiffs and
    numerous dock-side repair jobs
  • Late 2003, Church Creek Boat Shop, Inc. moved to
a 7000 sq. ft. shed on Yonges Island to restore
    two classic boats
  • Summer 2004, Middleton Boatworks, Inc. was formed
and construction began on custom designed 50
    Sportfishing boat

3
Mission
  • Our Mission is to build top-end wooden boats
tailored to the individual requirements of each
customer. There is a great feeling of intense
gratification when slipping through the water in
a hand-crafted boat built for you to your
specifications. The head-turning beauty will only
reinforce the pride of ownership we hope to
    deliver with each boat.

4
New Construction
  • At Middleton Boatworks, we believe the customers
needs and wants come first. Our clients demand a
wide range of boats, from impoundment boats to
sportfishers. Owners of Middleton Boats exude a
pride of ownership far beyond that of the average
    fiberglass boat owner. High-quality construction,
attention to detail, and head-turning designs
make owning a Middleton Boat a wooden boat
    connoisseur's dream.

5
Under 16 Row Boats
  • These 14' to 16' row boats are perfect for those
looking to cast a net or go fishing. They can be
rowed easily, but also have strong, traditional
construction capable of carrying a 15hp outboard.

Under 16 Impoundment Boats
  • These impoundment boats were created for a
discerning customer from the boats used years ago
at the Santee Gun Club. Even though I built these
boats, I was surprised at how able they were - 3
men, 2 dogs and gear presented no problem.

Flats Boat
  • This boat was designed for my personal use. Many
of the low profile bay boats and "flats boats"
don't carry enough shape. We've added the classic
style and beauty of the Carolina sport fishing
    boats to this in-house design.

Restoration and Service
  • Water damage, sun damage and years of use and
enjoyment can wreak havoc on a vessel if not
    properly maintained. Middleton Boatworks services
a wide range of classic and contemporary vessels.
Each project demands the proper research to
provide efficient and effective techniques. We
    offer time-tested solutions with modern
    technology.

23
  • AT THE YARD Rate 45/hr.
  • New construction We offer traditional plank on
frame (lap strake and carvel), strip planked, and
cold-molded types of construction. Also, we are
familiar with other modern techniques like vacuum
    bagging. Middleton Boatworks provides both
    mechanical and systems work through
    subcontractors.
  • Renovation From custom cabinetry to a new house,
hidden wine racks to the addition of fish boxes
or swim platforms or teak accents, we can
    transform your boat.
  • Repair We can repair rot damage to bulwarks, sub
decking, and around leaking port lights, or we
can reef seams and repay them - even refasten an
entire hull. or tune up a paint job. Scarfing a
repair to a mashed rub rail is no problem - let
us help you keep your boat in sterling condition.
  • Restoration Bright-finished boats need quality ,
patience and craftsmanship to achieve and
maintain their warmth and beauty. We provide
    both. Rate 40/hr.
