- Choose title for purchase
- Search title in UA Libraries catalog
- Search OhioLINK
- Logon to YBP, Search GOBI
- Select Title from GOBI
- Place record in folder and/or cart
- Export record
- Fill in or apply template
- Assign FUND CODE
- Save record
- Submit record (goes to GOBI Export File)
9Acquisitions Ordering
- Pick up GOBI export file from GOBI server 2 times
per week - Load records into INNOPAC
- III is automatically checked for dups
- Brief bib record are created in III
- Order records are created in III
- Examine possible GOBI dups delete if necessary
- Send order file electronically to YBP
10Acquisitions YBP/OCLC Step
- YBP receives orders III via electronic ordering
interface - YBP creates book pick list begins physical
processing - YBP sends electronic order manifest to OCLC to
locate cataloging records
- OCLC puts bib records on OCLC FTP server for pick
up - OCLC FTPs call no. info to YBP for printing
labels - YBP attaches call no. labels
- YBP packs books for shipment
11Acquisitions Receiving
- Unpack books
- Send exceptions and bypass fund books Cataloging
- Pick up electronic PromptCat file from OCLC
- Load Bib with item and invoice info into INNOPAC.
(Existing brief bibs are overlaid with OCLC full
cataloging record.) - Pay invoice
- Verify that PromptCat bib records match book

- The books go directly to the New Book Shelves and
are included on the new book list!!!
