- REMC 2 South works on behalf of the local
districts by being involved with many local,
state, and national committees and
organizations. REMC 2 South is part of the REMC
Association who's mission is "The REMC
Association of Michigan believes that it must
provide proactive leadership to the Michigan
educational community by participating with other
organizations in building a vision that supports
quality teaching and learning and provides equity
to Michigan's Pre K-12 students." - REMC 2 South is a member of the following

- Access to 9000 educational items aligned with
the Michigan Curriculum Framework Standards and
Strands. Materials include VHS, DVD, audio
books, Ellison dies, AIMS science and math
workbooks, Atlases, ELA MEAP Prototypes and Genre
Units, approximately 700 classroom sets of books
and over 5400 digital titles and other digital
content .

personnel from the REMC 2 South service area. - REMC Advisory Meetings (twice a year)

literacy standards and the METS supporting the

cooperative purchasing, video streaming,
technology, criteria for a curriculum integrated

6REMC Cooperative Bid Project
- The REMC Statewide Cooperative Acquisitions
Project is provided as a service of your REMC for
the schools of Michigan. The project provides
large volume bid prices on a variety of
educational resources. As a result of this REMC
Statewide project, local schools within the REMC
2 region saved more than 1.2 million in 2006.
Each tax dollar saved through this cooperative
effort represents another dollar that will be
available for additional instructional needs.
For 2006, schools within Mecosta-Osceola saved
163,037

- Webmax is an online ordering system used to order
materials and now includes Video Streaming
titles. It features full annotations of the
entire REMC 2 South media collection. Please
note Video Streaming titles cannot be searched
in Webmax by subject, standard, strand, or GLCE,
at this time. To search Video Streaming titles
using the above criteria go to www.untitedstreamin
g.com. - Go to site - www.wmisd.org
- Click REMC 2 South (Under the General Education
heading) - Click the Webmax Icon
- In the User Number box type in your user number.
If user number is unknown please call
231-876-2270 - In the Password box, type BOOKING
- Click the Submit button
- At the search page, enter a keyword, select media
type, grade level (if needed) and then click on
go - Select the desired titles, place a check in the
select box (if a video streaming title see below) - Click order form or the order tab
- Select the first available date or change the
date - Click next or the confirm tab
- Enter your email address in the box provided
- Click on click here to finish
- The items will not be booked until the click
here to finish button has been selected. A
confirmation notice will show on the screen
confirming that the media has been booked. - Please note Subscription Necessary. Contact
