Today we have a Sickness Industry
  • Western medicine treats symptoms, rather than
    preventing the
  • causes.
  • Heart Disease accounts for 39 of all deaths.
Over half of all heart attacks result in death
    before reaching hospital.
  • Cancer is one of our most feared words. Is it
because we dont know if and when it is coming,
and feel powerless to prevent it? Cancer is
    responsible for 28 of deaths.
  • Diabetes has trebled in Australia since 1981. One
in four adult Australians now have diabetes or
    impaired glucose metabolism.
  • THE BIG QUESTION
  • What can we really do to prevent the big 3
    (Cancer, Heart Disease,
  • Diabetes) and enjoy Optimal Health?

4
What Is Optimal Health?
  • Jumping out of bed in the morning feeling
energised and ready for the day!
  • Tired all the time
  • No colds and flus, rarely get sick
  • If it is going around, I catch it!
  • Lowered risk of heart disease, cancer diabetes
  • Ever-increasing risk of major disease
  • Ideal body weight
  • Overweight or obese, just cant lose it.
  • No need for chronic (continual) medication
  • Increasing prescription drugs for Fatigue,
    Stress, Depression, Blood Pressure, Diabetes,
    etc.

5
Why do we have these problems?
  • There are two clearly identifiable causes
  • which we can easily do something about
  • Poor cellular health, which effects
  • energy levels,
  • heart disease,
  • weight gain,
  • diabetes
  • Free radical attack, which effects
  • cancers
  • heart disease

6
1. Cellular Health
A healthy cell
Cell Membrane -75 fat including
essential fatty acids Omega 6 and Omega 3,
in the ratio 3 1
Nutrients are absorbed through the cell
membrane for nourishment
Nucleus
Waste products leave through the cell membrane
for disposal
Mitochondria
When your cells are healthy your body is able to
function at optimal levels
7
1. Cellular Health
An unhealthy cell
Cell Membrane - essential fatty acids Omega
6 and Omega 3, in the ratio 20
3 1
Synthetic Fats harden the cell membranes,
Nutrients are not absorbed as effectively
Synthetic fats are Trans fatty acids, 90 of
which come from our modern processed foods.
8
Results of unhealthy cells -
  • Cell
  • becomes
  • malnourished

Craving for carbohydrate (often sugar)
Snacking, and over-eating.
Cell wall doesnt let enough food in, leaving
blood with high sugar levels.
Body stores excess sugar as fat
Insulin overload resistance
RESULTS - Fatigue -
Obesity - Diabetes
9
More results of unhealthy cells
  • Cholesterol and fatty deposits spill over from
cell into the walls of the blood vessel wall as
    fatty plaques (artherosclerosis)

Blood vessel
Clear blood flow
Fatty deposits in the wall
  • Blood Vessel wall gradually swells, reducing the
blood flow then eventually ruptures like a pimple
which suddenly blocks the blood flow.

Wall breaks and fatty plaque blocks blood flow
Heart Attack!
10
2. Free Radical Attack
  • Pollution, Poor diet, High exercise levels,
    Smoking Stress
  • produce toxins in our bodies. These toxins have
    to be dealt
  • with by the cells with a process that requires
    Oxygen and
  • Energy.
  • This process is called oxidation.
  • Oxidation produces Free Radicals, which are
    unstable
  • chemicals that have lost an electron. To
    stabilise themselves,
  • Free Radicals attack our blood vessels, our
    immune systems
  • and our DNA.

Normal cell functions are disrupted starting the
process of HEART DISEASE and CANCER growths.
Other processes may begin including Premature
Ageing, Neurological disorders, Emphysema, and
Cataracts.
11
Objective Method
1. To restore our bodies cell membrane function
by restoring the correct Omega 6 Omega 3
balance to 3 1
A. Cut out synthetic fats - Processed foods
carbohydrates such as most bakery items, most
cereals, all deep fried food, biscuits, sweets,
chocolate, potato chips, etc.
OR
  • B. Reduce synthetic fats and
  • increase Omega 3 intake by
  • either
  • Eating deep sea cold water fish 3 times per
    week OR
  • Supplementing with Omega 3
  • Increase our Anti-oxidants -
  • Fruit Vegetables
  • Tea, especially green tea
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Red wine
  • Anti-oxidant vitamin
  • supplements A, C E

2. We have to combat Free Radicals with
Anti-oxidants
12
Getting Real..
  • If were honest, most of us know that we are not
    going to
  • Cut out all processed foods
  • Eat 5 serves of vegetables and 2 serves of fruit
    every day
  • Eliminate all stress
  • Eliminate all pollution
  • Eat 3 or more serves of cold water, deep sea fish
    a week
  • So, if we are to gain Optimal Health, (Feeling
energised, rarely get sick, low risk of heart
disease, cancer diabetes, ideal body weight),
    we need to supplement our
  • Nutritional and anti-oxidant vitamins,
  • and our
  • Omega 3 oils.

13
What type of Supplements, and why?
  • Several factors should be considered when
    selecting
  • supplements
  • How much of the product is actually available to
    your body called bio-availability.
  • How much of the product can be absorbed by your
    body before elimination.
  • Oxides or Compounds like Iron oxide have 20
    bio-availability, of which 20 is absorbed. 4
    total absorption.
  • Chelated vitamins have Amino Acids added which
aids absorption. They have 60 bio-availability
with 40 absorption. 25 total absorption.
  • Organic supplements are grown, not manufactured.
The whole natural plant is used, resulting in 90
    bio-availability with 80 absorption. 72 total
    absorption.

14
Other advantages of Organic.
  • No concentrated chemicals or pesticides
  • Contain the whole plant concentrate a large
    range of phyto-nutrients. (Thousands of
    additional plant nutrients)
  • Advantages of Nutriway supplements
  • The only global supplier of organic supplements.
  • Standardised manufacturing practice.
  • Independent laboratory testing and research.
  • Ownership of the whole production process from
soil to tablet ensures control of quality. 72
    year history.
  • They work! They are totally guaranteed for 90
    days.

15
Suggested Supplement Strategy
  • Omega 3 Deep sea fish oil to restore your cell
membrane function, protect you from heart disease
    and give you energy.
  • Organic Multivitamin (Double X) To provide
    anti-oxidant vitamins A, C E to combat free
radical damage, and also provide all of the
vitamins and minerals which may be lacking in
    your normal diet.
  • Other solutions
  • Weight management Healthpointe program
  • High Stress Vitamin B,
  • Osteoporosis Calcium Magnesium
  • Inflammation / Arthritis Glucosamine

  • Anxiety, nervous tension Passionflower
    Chamomile
  • Low infection resistance Echinacea

A recent success story .
Asafa Powell, who clocks in at 9.74 seconds in
the 100 m, was introduced to the product by his
older brother three months prior to breaking the
world record.
"Taking Double X was the only change I made to
how I had been training," Powell confirmed.
"After I started taking it, I felt I had more
energy to train harder and run faster. I am very
careful about what I consume so I appreciate the
balanced vitamin and mineral content plus the
rich, all-natural plant concentrates in Double X."
